A staggering 95% of South Africans are red meat eaters – with 29% indulging in meat more than four times a week.

 

Of particular interest is the top end of the protein scale – the 37% who eat red meat three or four times a week and the remaining 14% (the dedicated red meat eaters) eat red meat more than five times a week.
