Over 60% of people who fan a brand on Facebook expected to get some form of regular and fan-only content ; 20% signed up to a brand due to their loyalty to the brand; while the remaining 19% signed up to interact or communicate (praise or complain). Of those, 77% feel brands need to reward their fans. The fans who want reward are not loyal to the brand necessarily, but can be turned into brand advocates by making them feel special and giving them proprietary information or content first.
